Hi everyone!

To begin, I’d like to share a bit about myself so you can get a feel for who I am and what I do. I am currently a Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) student at Western Kentucky University, located in South-Central Kentucky.
My hobbies include staying active, painting, planting and growing greenery, as well as watching videos and learning about how people function. This is what led me to my current position as a counseling intern. I have always been passionate about helping and understanding others, but wasn’t always sure how I could turn that into a career. I started college with a major in Pre-Med, but realized it was not something I was interested in.

Then, I chose to switch to psychology. This was closer to what I wanted to do, but I didn’t want assessments to be the focus of my career. I wanted more personalization in my line of work. That’s when my favorite professor introduced me to the opportunity to join the counseling field of study here at WKU, and I haven’t looked back since!
